Over 60 foreign envoys will visit Bharat Biotech, Biological E in Hyderabad

Over 60 foreign envoys will be arriving Hyderabad for visiting two biotech companies – Bharat Biotech and Biological E, who are developing potential Covid-19 vaccines to fight the novel virus, according to sources. They said it is their primary visit, and there will be many more visits to other facilities based in other cities of India.

This is in synchronization with Covid-19 briefing given by the Ministry of External Affairs o November 6. India is the country, to be the largest manufacturer of the Covid-19 vaccine in the world, and contributed significantly to other countries and helped them fight the pandemic.

According to sources, everybody is highly keen in the vaccine development efforts of India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has iterated India’s vaccine production and delivery capacity will be a source of help and support to humanity for fighting against the crisis induced by Covid-19. To monitor the vaccine development and manufacturing, he visited Zydus Biotech in Ahmedabad, Bharat Biotech in Hyderabad and Serum Institute of India in Pune on November 28. Further on, Modi also had virtual meetings with Gennova Biopharmaceuticals Ltd Pune, Biological E and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories in Hyderabad.

Just recently, Bharat Biotech applied for emergency use authorization approval from Drugs Controller General of India for ‘Covaxin’.
