Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be commencing a global virtual summit which will be based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), RAISE 2020 with the theme of – “Responsible AI for Social Empowerment 2020” is scheduled to be held on October 5, as per the information given by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
The summit will be held from October 5 to October 9, 2020, organized in joint collaboration with NITI Aayog and MeitY. The inaugural event will be held in the virtual presence of Minister of Electronics & IT, Communications and law and justice, Ravi Shankar Prasad, world renowned AI expert Professor Raj Reddy, Reliance Industries Ltd Chairman Mukesh Ambani and IBM CEO Arvind Krishna.
There will be a specially dedicated session on building inclusive AI that will drive and empower crores of Indians. Anita Bhatia, assistant secretary-general, deputy executive director, UN Women will be speaking over a key-note session with an all-women panel.
The ministry has released the information that around 15,000 stakeholders will be a part of from different disciplines of academia, research industry and government representatives have registered for participation in the conference.
Industry analysts have anticipated that AI could add up the Indian economy by $957 billion till 2035.
