PM Modi to inaugurate key infrastructure projects in West Bengal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be laying the foundation stone of the major infrastructure projects in West Bengal’s Haldi scheduled for 04.15 pm on Sunday.

PM Modi wrote on Twitter in Bengali and English posting on Saturday saying, “Tomorrow evening, I would be in Haldia, West Bengal. At a programme there, will dedicate to the nation the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) import terminal built by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). Will also dedicate to the nation Dobhi-Durgapur Natural gas pipeline section of the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga project.”

The terminal with the capacity of 1 million metric tonnes per annum is estimated to be an investment of Rs. 1,100 crore. This will help in providing for LPG requirements in West Bengal and other states in Eastern and Northeastern  parts of the country.

In a statement, the Prime minister’s office ,(PMO) revealed about the Prime minister laying the foundation stone at the earliest of  the second catalytic isodeswaxing unit of Haldane refinery and once passed it will great benefits like saving of US 185 million dollars in foreign exchange.

“The projects are in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of Purvodaya, of driving growth of Eastern India,” the release revealed.
