Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address several beneficiaries of the Digital India initiative on the sixth anniversary at 11 am on Thursday via virtual mode.
Modi said on Wednesday after announcing his interaction with the beneficiaries, saying, “Our emphasis on technology has enhanced service delivery and boosted transparency.”
PM tweeted, “At 11 AM tomorrow, 1st July, will interact with various beneficiaries of the @_DigitalIndia initiative, which has had a transformative impact in the lives of the people of India.”
At the occasion, Union minister for electronics and information technology Ravi Shankar will be present and speak the opening remarks.
The interactive session is scheduled after an address by PM Modi where he will emphasize on several achievements by Digital India and the success stories of several schemes implented.
The programme will also have a presentation of video revealing the major achievements of Digital India, which will lead to an interactive session between the Prime Minister and the beneficiaries of several schemes of the initiative, which will be moderated by Ajay Sawhney, secretary at the ministry of electronics and IT (MeitY).
Abhishek Singh, MD and CEO of Digital India Corporation and President and CEO, NeGD, MeitY said, “It’s going to be a very interactive and informative session wherein PM will speak with the beneficiaries of Digital India from across the country. It’s a proud moment for us as the guidance and support we have got from the Prime Minister is unparalleled. We look forward to taking forward the Digital India initiatives under his dynamic leadership,” as quoted by ANI.
