New Delhi: Priyanka Gandhi has officially sworn to be the new Member of Parliament (MP) from Wayanad.
Holding the Constitution in her hand, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was sworn in as a Lok Sabha MP on Thursday. In the by-election, she defeated Communist Party of India (CPI) candidate Satyan Mokeri by a margin of 4,10,931 votes.

Meanwhile, in the Nanded Lok Sabha by-election, Congress candidate Ravindra Vasantrao Chavan emerged victorious, securing 5,86,788 votes. This seat fell vacant following the demise of the sitting MP, Vasantrao Balwantrao Chavan.
