SpaceX decides to put a halt to the already planned launch of Starlink satellites
scheduled today due to bad weather conditions. SpaceX representatives have posted
on Twitter about the next date, “Next launch opportunity is Tuesday, September 1 at
9:29 a.m. EDT, Pending Range acceptance.”
Though the Starlink mission is postponed, SpaceX will go ahead with the launch of
SAOCOM 1B spacecraft along with Tyvak-0172 and PlanetiQ’s GNOMES -1 as two
rideshare satellites. The launch is planned to be scheduled at 7:18 p.m. EDT to be
released from Space Launch Complex 40. This mission was originally scheduled for
March 2020 but delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
