Raichur: Three PWD officials lost their lives after a lorry overturned and hit them while they were standing by the roadside near Sindhanur in Raichur.
The incident occurred near Dollars Colony in Sindhanur. A lorry, carrying a load of hay, lost control and overturned onto the three officials who were standing by the road.
The victims have been identified as Mallikarjuna, Shivaraju, and Mehboob. The trio had completed their canal duty and were on their way home last night. The Sindhanur police have taken the lorry driver into custody and initiated an investigation. Police officials visited the accident site and conducted an inspection. Further details regarding the incident are awaited.
