Under the Russian championship, the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will have discussions and summit at the highest level on Tuesday.
The virtual summit among the Council of Heads of State will be the 20th meeting organized keeping on hold the major developments incident at the regional and global levels.
The summit to be held at 2.30 IST, is quite crucial as it will put forth an opportunity to have a conservation between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping and be on the same stage, with the presently on-going border conflicts and military stand-off, which was started in June.
New Delhi, will be participating in the summit as the permanent member for the third consecutive time. An observer status was granted to New Delhi in 2005 by SCO, which further culminated into permanent membership in 2017. The conclusion of the summit will be post releasing the Moscow declaration, which will highlight the broad agenda of the bloc for the year 2021.
The summit will be having the discussions concentrating on the present state of cooperation within the organization and the ways to increase it further, as revealed by Sputnik. The summit will also have discussions on various topics centered towards the regional and global developments.
Alongside Narendra Modi and Xi Jinping, the SCO’s virtual summit will be attended by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan, Russian President Putin, and also the leaders representing four Central Asian countries – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
