The leaders Kuruburu Shanthakumar and Kodihalli Chandrashekhar individually told media that all the farmer associations have come together to take a call on the strike.

The strike was priorly planned for Friday which was postponed anticipating that the government would pay attention to the pleas and the protests.

Shanthakumar stated, “Farmers and those depending on agriculture have been suffering from the last few months due to the Covid-19 crisis. The government’s Bill comes across as nothing less than a death sentence for the farming community.”

Following the protests alongside the farmers, the movement of trucks, auto-rickshaws and taxi operations throughout the state will be altered. It will to be such an extent that nearly 5 lakh trucks and lorries will be on a standstill. Even the Ola and the Uber drivers are taking a call to join the strike.
