Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautela will have a meeting with PM scheduled for today

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautela is scheduled for a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday at 11:45 am. Chautala is going to discuss three Central agricultural laws and farmers issues with Modi, according to sources.

The minister will also have a discussion on textile hubs, airports, east-west corridors, railway routes, as per the sources. With the on-going protests by farmers along the borders of New Delhi, Chautala together with the chief minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar had a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Earlier, Chautala had declared that he would resign from the post in the BJP-led state government if he is not successful in ensuring the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for obtaining the farmers’ crops.

Farmers have been protesting along the borders of New Delhi against the three controversial farm laws which include Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection)

Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
