External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar gave his greetings to United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the government and the residents of the country on the eve of their National Day on Wednesday.
Jaishankar extended the greetings on Twitter, “Warmest greetings to FM@ABZayed and the Government and the people of UAE as they celebrate their National Day. Our recent discussions have strengthened our shared purpose to realise our common interest. Confident that our strategic partnership will continue to progress.”
Earlier, amid the last week, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar had visited UAE and also had a discussion regardimg strategic cooperation amid India and UAE as Coronavirus crisis seems to evade away with the roll-out of the potential vaccines. Jaishankar had also gone to Bahrain for similar mission.
While his visit to UAE, Jaishankar had a meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and had discussion regarding important regional and international issues.
Jaishankar took to Twitter to write about it, “Thank HH @MohamedBinZayed for receiving me on arrival at Abu Dhabi. Conveyed the greetings and good wishes of PM @narendramodi. UAE’s care and consideration of its large Indian community is deeply appreciated.”
He further tweeted, “Discussed advancing our strategic cooperation in the post-COVID era. Exchanged views on important regional and international issues.”
According to sources, the objectives of EAM’s mission was to make the returns esy of the Indians who came back from Gulf, and also retaining the ones priorly there, build on reputation of India and further enhancing trade, strategic cooperation to a higher level.
