The relationship that exists between India and the United States will be cemented further as Kamala Harris took the charge as Vice President of the United States, revealed the White House.
President Joe Biden, who took the charge as the 46th President of the United States, respects the long bipartisan relationship between the leaders between the leaders of both the countries, said White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, to the reporters at her everyday news conference.
When questioned about the India-US ties amid Biden’s administration, Psaki responded, “President Biden, of course, has visited India many times, respects and values the long bipartisan successful relationship between leader in India and the United States. It looks forward to a continuation of that.”
Kamala Harris, being an Indian-American by origin, will cement the ties further, said Jen.
Psaki added, “Obviously, he selected and yesterday, she (Harris) was sworn in the first Indian American to serve as president or vice president. Certainly, historic moment for all of us in this country but a further cementing of the importance of our relationship.”
