The Union Home Ministry has given the probe for the Israel embassy blast in Delhi to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday. People aware about the development revealed that NIA will further scrutinize the recently discovered Iranian Angle to the case.
An officer, aware about the development revealed, “The NIA has been roped in as case has international ramifications. The case file and evidence collected so far by the Delhi Police’s Special Cell including the explosive sample, CCTV footage and the ‘threat letter’ recovered from the blast site will be handed over to the central agency.”
There are sufficient points to indicate the Tehran’s involvement in the blast, as per the counter-terrorism officials in New Delhi, despite the quest for the culprits is still going on.
On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had assured Israel counterpart about stringent action to be taken against the perpetrators involved in the low-intensity bomb blast which was incident on January 29. Both the leaders had a telephone conversation, amid which PM Modi emphasized on India’s inclination towards safety and security of Israeli diplomats and embassy.
