PM Modi to speak at the Global Ayurveda Festival today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing on Friday via the mode of virtual conferencing for the Global Ayurveda Festival.

In a tweet released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “At around 8:45 PM this evening, will address the Global Ayurveda Festival. This Festival is a commendable effort to further popularise Ayurveda and traditional forms of medicine.”

The festival is being held from March 12 to March 19 in the virtual mode.

During the event, eminent people like Union Minister V Muraleedharan, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) President Uday Shankar, Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and ex-FICCI President Dr Sangita Reddy will be present.

The Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the festival appointed as Muraleedharan.

Chief Scientist of World Health Organization, Dr Soumya Swaminathan, along with Central AYUSH Secretary, Vaidya Rajesh Kotrecha and Central AYUSH Advisor Vaidya Manoj Nesari will be delivering the keynote address for the festival.

The festival will also comprise international seminars, a global exhibition and a business meeting and hold an all-time record for the count of delegates, the count of scientists presenting their papers and the count of participating institutions and countries.

The festival will have discussions and lectures from as many as 35 internationally popular scientists and over 150 Indian scientists. From the filtered 1,150 research papers, 650 will be presented live and 500 will be a poster presentation.
