Israeli crowd in huge numbers led a protest around Israel Prime Minister BejanminNetanyahu’s residence on Saturday strongly demanding for him to quit over his mishandling and mismanagement during Covid-19. A lot of them were angry citing the government attempts which were used in for lockdown measures to stifle demonstrations.
The protests erupted a day post the government tightened the lockdown restrictions. However, the parliament abstained from passing the measure to restrict the citizen’s protest at a distance of 1 km from their houses.
No official count has been released about the number of protesters but as per Israel’s N12 News around thousand were present. It was reported that most of them complied to social distancing and face mask rules.
