Two Indian Navy officials were killed in an accident due to the glider clashed on the borders of Kochi in Kerala on Sunday as per the official reports.
The two Navy personnel were Lieutenant Rajiv Jha and Petty Officer Sunil Kumar.As per the news reported by ANI, both of them were on a training schedule, when the glider clashed somewhere near Thoppumoady bridge which is in vicinity to the naval base INS Garuda.
Both the officers have severe injuries, and were declared dead later. The reports from the preliminary investigation termed the incident as a freak accident. As the per the information given by ANI, the Southern Naval Command has instructed for a board of intricate inquiry to understand the incident which took the lives of the navy officers.
