US envoy greets Indian Navy on Navy Day, expresses gratitude foe hosting Malabar exercises

US Ambassador to India, Kenneth Juster has expressed his greetings to the Indian Navy on the occasion of Navy Day and directed his gratitude for hosting Malabar Exercise.

Juster took to Twitter to express himself. He tweeted, “On behalf of the U.S. Mission in India, a very happy #Navy Day to @IndianNavy. We thank you for hosting the U.S., Japan, and Australia for this year’s successful Malabar Exercise and look forward to continued growth in the #USIndiaDefence partnership. Sham No Varunah!”

The 24th edition of Malabar series of multilateral naval exercises, which was completed into the Arabian Sea configured into two phases on November 20, with participation from Indian, American, Japanese and Australian Navy in it.

With the collaboration of the Navy from the four countries, this union is going against the rising hegemonic tendencies of China for the oceans. To which, a senior commander of the Indian Navy iterated on the 2020 Malabar war games which have depicted an “extraordinary degree of interoperability” amid the participation forces.

December 4, every year has been celebrated as National Navy Day, with the intent of commemorating the commendable naval action of the Indian Naval ships on Karachi Port, which was the decision that inched the victory of India in the Indo-Pak war incident in 1971.
