B S Yediyurappa conducted aerial survey of flood affected regions

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa conducted an aerial survey of flood hit regions for two districts of the state and stated that more funds will be discharged further post discussions with the officials. Yediyurappa stated, Already funds have been allotted to the flood affected districts and more will be released after holding a meeting with the officials.”


Yediyurappa addressed the reporters before getting into the special plane from Jindal Vijayanagar Airport for aerial survey of the most affected districts by flood, Kalaburagi and Vijayapura. Along with Yediyurappa, Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu Chauhan and the Commissioner of Karnataka Disaster Management Authority, Manoj Rajan were also present conducting the aerial survey.

Yediyurappa revealed the heavy rains and floods have invoked inundation in the villages of the districts Kalaburagi and Vijayapura, which has damaged the crops and houses.

The Karnataka chief minister further assured the central team is carrying out an inspection post which the state government will present the report in four to five days. This is three in a row for the last three months the flood has caused a havoc in Northern Karnataka.
