Post Amit Shah’s meeting, 75 paramilitary doctors, 350 paramedics travelling to Delhi for Covid-19 management

As many as 75 more doctors and nearly 350 paramedics will be travelling to Delhi post the meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who issued the order for the paramilitary forces to manage the aggravating Covid-19 situation in Delhi.

According to the sources from the Union Home Ministry, 75 doctors will be reaching Delhi from different states of the country in the next few days. The order comes after a review meeting organized for assessing the situation of Covid-19 management. The doctors represent different paramilitary forces which comprises of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles, Central Reserve Police Forces (CPRF) and others.

The paramilitary forces have passed an immediate message over night arranging for physicians and paramedical staff as per the order directed. The sources revealed to ANI, the official communication has been given for the departments issuing to relieve the additional doctors for Covid-19 management in Delhi.

A government official, managing the processing of doctors arrival to Delhi stated, “Total 75 doctors will be here in the next few days. Forces have already processed and suggested names and soon they will be in Delhi and deployed at different locations or hospitals in the national capital. Some may also be deployed at 10,000 bedded Sardar Patel COVID hospital in Delhi’s Chattarpur.”

From various places like Jalandhar, Shimla, Lucknow, north-eastern states, around 750 paramedical staff will be arriving in Delhi. The sources revealed that the doctors from conflicted regions of the country like Kashmir, Ladakh, will be avoided for the management in Delhi considering the present situation. The sources added that less number of doctors will be redeployed representing the Red Zone.
