The Delhi Police revealed on Wednesday about the overall count of FIRs filed regarding the violence linked to the tractor rally conducted by the farmers at ITO in national capital, which has accounted to be 22, with the recent one being filed at the IP police station.
The recent case has been filed against protesters who are not identified yet and is inclusive of the farmer who lost his life when his tractor overturned after hitting the barricade, which was shown in the CCTV footage released by the Delhi Police.
The process of registering the FIRs started last night and more than 100 Delhi Police personnel have been inflicted with injury amid the tractor’s rally violence at various locations in the national capital.
According to the information given by the sources to ANI, “The first task is to register criminal cases in each incident of violence and hence multiple FIRs will be filed. Once an FIR is filed then the process of identifying the suspects will start. Conspiracy to carry out violence needs to back with evidence which includes CDR analysis, witnesses statement.”
Alongside, traffic and metro services will remain impacted post farmers’ tractor violence. The Delhi Traffic Police issued the instructions as they observed traffic was hit along the national capital. The Delhi traffic Police took to Twitter to share the news. The tweet said, “Ghazipur Mandi, NH-9 and NH-24 have been closed for traffic movement. People commuting from Delhi to Ghaziabad are advised to take Shahdara, Karkari Mor and DND.”
The message iterated that the route from Minto Road to Connaught Place has been closed, and requested to avoid using this route.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) declared on Wednesday that the entry and exit for the Lal Quila metro station and entry at Jama Masjid metro station have been blocked. The average time period for waiting for Saket station is 35 minutes. In case any fluctuations in the crowd, the waiting time will be updated as per that.
There has been heavy security at the Red Fort where the group protesters entered the fort premises and unfurled their flags. The farmers expressed their violence with breaking the barricades for entering Delhi and invoked ruckus in various regions across the national capital, and there have been severe damages to the public and private properties by the violence created by the mob.
Farmers from different parts of the country have been protesting along the borders of New Delhi from November 26, for the three farm laws enacted by the Centre in September.
