E-commerce giant Amazon India declared the fourth edition of its Small Business Day (SBD) to be scheduled for December 12 on Sunday.
SBD will commence from the midnight of December 12, till 11:59 PM is a uniquely designed event which will provide customers with the opportunity to discover and buy rare and exclusive products from start-ups, women entrepreneurs, artisans and weavers, and local shops.
The statement revealed the event is for supporting the small businesses for sustaining their business growth and development.
The event is organized for second time in the year and will have a range of products which comprises of work from home essentials, wall decor and hangings like Lippan artwork originally from Bhuj and Dhokra craft from Chhattisgarh, eco-friendly products, kitchenware, vegan leather products, sports essentials.
For motivating customers to purchase from small businesses and micro-entrepreneurs, Amazon will give a cashback of 10 per cent on digital payments. Amazon will also give a 10 per cent additional discount for customers using ICICI debit and credit cards.
Manish Tiwary, Vice President, Amazon India, stated, “The year 2020 has been full of unprecedented challenges for businesses across India and especially small businesses. At Amazon, we are committed to supporting our over 7 lakh sellers to continue the momentum built up over the past months through various events.” He added further the upcoming SBD is for creating wider opportunities for sellers on Amazon India and B2B sellers will put forth greater demands, revenue and have a positive year end.
