The annual Airport Service Quality award for best airport with respect to the size and region as of March 1 has been given to Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport. Airports Council International has given the award to Bengaluru airport, which has been winning for four consecutive years now.
The criteria for winning the award is based on passenger survey and is given the recognition with ‘Best Airport with 25 – 40 million passengers’ annually. The airport has bagged ACI-ASQ awards for 2019, 2018 and 2017 on the grounds of service excellence. The airport comprises of enormous hygiene and sanitation measures adhering to the Covid-19 requirements.

The ACI-ASQ awards are given to acknowledge, and reward the best airports in the world which is finalized by ACI’s ASQ Departure and Arrival Survey. Overall, 108 awards have been given to 89 individual airports across the globe.
ACI has particularly introduced ACI Hygiene Award this year considering the current pandemic situation which complements the Airport Health Accreditation Programme which was introduced in the previous year.
BIAL was also awarded the ACI’s Airport Health Accreditation and the ‘Voice of the Customer’ recognition which honor’s the commitment of the airport to fulfill the customer requirements amid the pandemic.
