Kannada cinema drug racket case: Sanjjanaa and Prateek to be in Judicial custody till Sept 30

In a verdict passed by the special court for Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic  Substances (NDPS) Act, Kannada film actress Sanjjanaa Galrani and Prateek Shetty who is a software engineer cum drug peddler will be kept in judicial custody till September 30.

Sanjjanaa’s lawyer have put forth before the first ACMM court that no specific charges were given by Central Crime Branch (CCB) against her and the matter has not been shifted to the NDPS special court. She was produced before the court via video conferencing from the Parappana Agrahara central prison.

Sanjjanaa had appealed for a bail application citing her health reasons, though it was ordered for her to remain in judicial custody. Alongside, the court will answer for the bail petition on Saturday.
