Saudi Arabia to now slowly resume the proceedings for Umrah pilgrimage from October 4 following a seven month halt due to Coronavirus pandemic according to the Saudi Press Agency.

SPA reported that Saudi Arabia will give allowance to a count of 6,000 citizens and residents on a daily basis which is nearly only 30 % of the usual number to take the necessary precautions. There will be further expansion from October 18 in terms of the capacity and as of November 1, the kingdom will extend the permit to certain countries provisionally safe.

A mobile application is in-process for the Hajj pilgrims, which will be available a week before it restarts. The pilgrims will need to register on it and follow the guidelines according to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
